Camping In The Mountains

This is is a long post - but here goes.
~ BJ, and his parents and siblings own a cabin in Disappointment Valley, in Colorado. We love to go there, but don't get to nearly as often as like. A couple weeks ago, BJ's sister decided to go, and on a whim, I packed up the kids and went too!! The kids have so much fun while they are there ~ it is a rare occasion for the kids to be bored. Here are some pictures we took while we were there. I had some really cute video, but can't get it to convert so that I can post it. (Does anyone know how to help me? Joyce?) Here is a small rundown of the pictures:
~Jensen loves to pound nails. He will pound nails in any piece of wood he can find. Last year for Christmas he asked for wood glue so he could glue a hut together in Colorado. Grandma LouAnn keeps hammers and nails around just for the boys.
~We play all kinds of games in the yard. (Some are real . .some are well . . . made up).
~This trip, the kids couldn't get enough pop. Everytime we turned around we heard "Can I have another pop?"
~Each year when our cat has kittens, we take them to Colorado to live. Our niece nearly loved this kitten to death this year. The kids have fun playing with the cats while we are in Colorado. And we are glad they aren't at our house.
~Don't know what the hair was about, but all the boys were sportin' some pretty sweet do's.
~It rained pretty good one night, and instead of watching movies in the cabin, the kids thought it would be fun to watch them in their tents. Go figure.
~Walking and riding bikes up and down the road is an easy time filler.
~Horses are always a popular item in Colorado. This trip Grandpa Merlin helped the kids get the horses ready for some rides.
~The rain had pretty much soaked all the wood, so it was quite an experience trying to roast our hot dogs and marshmallows over the smoking wood. (But we did perservere and prevail!!)
~Grandma LouAnn had a pretty major project while we were there. (There are always plenty of projects waiting for us out there.) This time, Jensen got to hold ceiling tile up with his head, and Uncle Harold was a great teacher when it came time to nail the paneling.
~Four wheelers are another popular item!! The kids love to ride them, and Grandpa's little trailer works great for taking a whole crew at one time!
~Ivin's creek and pond are also favorite places to go. Jensen, Jace, and Ladd turned into mud monsters. (this is where the funny video would be great to have.) Everyone had so much fun in the creek, until the boys had to wash all the mud off, then it was another story!!
~I think that sums most of the pictures up. Sorry this was so long, but it was such a fun trip, I didn't want to leave anything out!!
